Too Many Windows
If you’ve seen the Expose feature in OSX, you’ve probably been wowed. Well there are several workalike utilities for Windows…
- Entbloess 2 : Has the most features but seemed kinda slow.
- Exposer : For me it hosed up Konfabulator, but YMMV.
- TopDesk : This was another solid contender.
- WinPLOSION : Worked the smoothest for me. I thought I was going to keep it but I was just too used to Alt-Tabing between windows.
In the end I went with TaskSwitchXP. It’s not really the same thing as the others, but it works for me.
As a side note, I’m going to give the two monitor thing a try again so I can keep MyLifeOrganized , and a few other things visable at all times. I’m working off a laptop with a 17″ widescreen and for a second monitor I have a 19″ LCD (and a 21″ CRT at home). After some messing around, my resolutions are 1440×900 and 1600×1200.
